The Ulster Volunteers were Formed in January 1913 to resist any attempt by the British Government to impose Home Rule on Ulster. At the outbreak of World War 1 in August 1914 many of the UVF members enlisted with the British Army’s 36th (Ulster) Division.

stamped 15ct on the reverse. Diamond, red and green enamel. Scroll reads ‘12th March 1913’. this brooch comes with a presentation box from F.Phillips of Aldershot.
